As our brand continued to grow, we became renowned for exceptional colourful wigs being both beautiful to wear and style. Demand grew for colourful shades and I had already in the back of my mind considered a range of candy coloured pastels when I created the first two colourful collections Pastellic and Vivid.
In my photography career I had shot some really fun editorial shots working with sweets and with my creative mind as a child I had always imagined people with colourful candy hair as a Willy Wonka fan. So the collection was already there existing in my mind. I thought about Kola Kubes, Slush Puppies, Fizzy Green Laces and the collection was created with ease - a playful spectrum of 12 shades all inspired by sweet treats.
I created a unique blend and dyed the fibres in a way to add plenty of depth in colour with a pale sugary highlight to embrace their inspiration. The blend makes them super beautiful under studio lighting and perfectly manageable for wig stylists, the collection holds curls so beautifully!
The Kandi collection was a celebratory collection, we had navigated through the international pandemic and it was the first time we could create lace front wigs again. The new collection was a celebration of us getting through challenging times and the collection was a huge hit!
We were delighted to have collection purchased for the movie Wonka, which seemed such a strange thing to happen considering how I had always imagined the hair being on characters in the factory!
