I love muted hair colours and there was a significant lack of them on the wig market when I was looking for denim and teal shades. Artists and stylists that I was working with at the time in fashion also mentioned their desire to have muted colours to work with, especially when designing Avant Garde looks, which needed hair shades which would compliment their structural designs.
As I was exploring colour, I became inspired by the beautiful palette of shrub and flower tones during hikes. I noticed the wonderful tones and depths of different autumn and winter blooms, how they were so unique and understated to compliment each other.
I designed the Fashionista collection with an amazing fashion hair colourist who had experimented with human hair blends, complimented with toned down colours. I translated the visions to our synthetic blend, since they have been chosen by some of the most experimental wig stylists in the industry and featured on spectacular catwalks.
