My journey with wigs began just before Drag Race UK was a thing. I had a makeup company and my friend James (The Vivienne) messaged me to say he was applying for a UK release. We discussed makeup but one thing we had been talking about was wigs - it was a nightmare to get hold of any decent ones. At time I myself was going to wig shops and creating Frankenstein wigs as nothing on the market was working out. During this discussion I shared how I was looking into wigs, but the turn around time was near impossible with how Drag Race UK was being filmed. It spurred me on to start production, I had been sat on them for too long and James agreed now was time to get my ideas made!
The brand new wigs began arriving just in time for the UK crowning and I was over the moon to have The Vivienne wear Platinum Blonde Couture for the first ever UK crowning. From there, things got crazy! Film studios and production companies spotted the quality and I was in demand! I took on the challenge to create new collections of colours and the rest is history.
It led me to Ben and together we turned it out globally with The Vivienne - Ben had the cast of USA spilling into his DMs - he created for Alyssa Edwards who opened the USA flood gates and almost every queen in the UK. We very quickly became too booked up and to this day... our diaries remain full!
That's why we were the first stylist team to create shelves of 'ready to wear' styled wigs! We have such high demand, the whole team create stunning wigs for queens who need beautiful hair at short notice. The moment a new season is cast we have an influx of fresh new faces who want to book into our diary to make an impression on the main stage and we find those shelves emptying pretty fast too as categories are confirmed.
